Many years ago animals talked and Lion was the king of animals. All animals went to the King to ask where they can find the food because there was nothing anywhere. But Rabbit always had more meat to eat.
One day Deer came to the Rabbit’s house and knocked to the door. Rabbit’s wife answered and asked, ‘what do you want?’
‘I want your husband’, answered Deer.
Rabbit’s wife said, ‘come in, he is inside.’
‘Thank you’, said Deer.
Deer came in and Rabbit’s wife brought more meat and then they ate. When they finished Deer asked rabbit, ‘where do you find the meat?’
Rabbit said, ‘Do you want to know where I find the meat?’
Deer said, ‘Yes’
Rabbit said: (I know that if there is not food anywhere.) ‘Come tomorrow and see me’
‘Thank you’. Said Deer.
Deer went home and he was very happy. I don’t know if Deer slept well because I thought that he dreamt about meat.
In the morning Deer went to the Rabbit’s house and knocked to the door. Rabbit came out with the knife and said, ‘What are you doing here in the morning?’
‘I want you to take me where you find the meat,’ Deer answered.
‘All right.’ Said Rabbit and he said again, ‘wait for me here while go to get my coat.’ When Rabbit came back from to his house, he said to the Deer. ‘Deer, do you know where we are going?’
‘I don’t know,’ answered Deer.
We are going to the Dead Mountain if you want, said Rabbit. They walked to the mountain. When they were on that mountain, Rabbit said to the Deer. We are now on the mountain and I want to tell you Deer. You go down the mountain. When you will see the little thing come leave it, but if you see the big thing come catch it.
‘It is easy for me.’ Said Deer.
Deer went down of mountain and said, ‘I am ready.’ Rabbit took a little stone and threw it down the mountain. Deer saw it and let it go. Then Rabbit got a big stone and threw it down. Deer saw the big thing come and caught it but then he died because it was a big stone. Then Rabbit went down off that mountain, took Deer and carried him at his house.
Deer wanted to get the meat. He missed it and he was the meat!
